"Path of Light"
Jothi is the Sanskrit word for "light" and Marga is Sanskrit for "path". In all beliefs, there are inner teachings that show the path of our unfoldment, yet many of these teachings become buried in the dogma that can grow around our world's religions. It is the mission of the Jothi Marga Temple to aid people searching for the core of all spirituality: the attainment of enlightenment and service to others who walk this path.
The founder of Jothi Marga is Swami K.M. Tayumanavar (Swami Ty). Although his own path has been Hindu mysticism, his first teachers were his Celtic Grandmother and a Native American medicine woman. In his own search, he has studied many religions and beliefs and feels that he can help individuals unfold spiritually in whatever path they have chosen for themselves. "The whole truth is available," says Swami, "you just have to stop looking for other things."
